Where to search for freelance work / freelance projects?

There are number of different freelancer websites available. Some are special for specific type of work. Some are general purpose for all types of work. The websites I liked most are www.getafreelancer.com, www.rentacoder.com, www.elance.com. I use these sites for projects searching. These are the websites which have good amount of different types of projects. You can select the category as per you skills. You can register yourself on these sites for free.

What your profile should content?

When registering on above sites you will have to create your profile. Profile is a very important part of your freelance life. It is the only interface between you and your employer therefore it should be created very carefully & thoughtfully. At minimum it should content following:

1. Skills details

It should content your skills specified clearly, make sections if required for different skills or group of skills.

2. Projects & experience detail

It should also content the projects you have already done. This section should give the brief on projects done along with skills used and the name of the client for whom the project you have done. Reading your profile should create confidence in employer.

3. Qualification

Specify you main qualifications and the details on specialization. The different courses you have done. The marks you have obtained
