COSMOSWorks Professional
The COSMOSWorks Professional Training consists of 1 training course that allows users to become more knowledgeable in the COSMOSWorks application.
COSMOSWorks Professional Training Includes:
COSMOSMotion
COSMOSMotion lets you conduct mechanism simulations. You can investigate linkages, gears, bearing reactions, impact, trajectories and model compliance in your assemblies. You will observe all the accelerations, velocities, and displacements and get force feedback from reactions and frictional surfaces. You can find-out the torque driving requirements and power input required. Find out what size motor or how large a spring you need to make your model move the way you want!.
COSMOSWorks Designer
COSMOSWorks Designer 2006 Quick Start video series will get you up and running on this excellent product. It covers linear elastic, static stress, displacement and strain analysis on parts and assemblies. Forty-one short videos provide information and demonstrations at both introductory and intermediate levels. Start with the Introductory Unit to learn terms about static analysis, what happens under the hood, linear and non-linear materials and running the interface. Learn types of structures that are good candidates for the program; the new Analysis Adviser, Connectors and Contact are demonstrated. Learn about solid elements, shell elements, and meshing sheet metal parts along with the new “Mixed Meshing” functionality. There are "best practice" topics including preparing models for optimal computer resource use; Spot Weld feature; Bolt and Pin Connectors to get shear, axial and bending loads; accuracy assessment with new H-Method, creating parametric studies for 'batch run'; see how the Design Check Wizard can help you determine safety factors and safety distribution; a “Results Evaluation” checklist is discussed, and much more.
COSMOSWorks Professional
The COSMOSWorks Professional Quick Start videos course is fairly comprehensive and includes lessons on vibration and fatigue analysis, drop test analysis, thermal chapters on steady state and transient analyses, thermally induced strain and stress and finally, linear buckling analysis. The vibration lesson includes definitions and terms; basic setup procedures; hand calculations comparison; orthogonalty for duplicated frequencies and handling unrestrained structures; inclusion of membrane loads and the effects; rotating structures and a project on a frame and motor. The fatigue analysis chapter provides a good overview of definitions including life and damage concepts. An example fatigue analysis is performed so you can observe an actual application and understand the results posted. The drop test analysis chapter provides some considerations for how this type of analysis is solved. An example on a cell phone case is performed. The thermal steady state and transient chapters focus on heat transfer modes and how to apply the thermal loads with an application to a household soldering iron. Thermally induced strain and stress is an introduction to a type of coupled field analysis, and the buckling chapter discusses the interpretation of linear buckling results for real structures.
